The architecture of the library resembles old Cartesian drawings of the mechanics of the eye. The form creates the content for the installation which is positioned as the retina of the 'eye', in the oval reading room at the far end of the building. The light is registered through a CCD camera placed above the main entrance, facing outwards, sent throughout the building by coaxial cabling, and projected upside down onto a rasterized glass surface mounted on the far end wall of the oval room.
